Ojcze (pronounced /ˈɔj.t͡ʂɛ/) consists of three movements, each of which is suitable as a stand-alone piece. The texts (from the Catholic Polish translation of the Bible, Biblia Tysiąclecia) are drawn from the three occasions during Christ’s Passion on which he addresses his Father. Through the invocations he makes in his final hours, Jesus reveals to us a deeper understanding of his relationship with his Father.

The performance length for all three pieces is about thirteen and a half minutes (5:30, 4:30, and 3:30 for each movement respectively). The recordings above were sung by the CSBSJU Chamber Choir, under the direction of Axel Theimer, at the Church of St. Augustine in St. Cloud, MN.
